In the latter case I presume that arrangements regarding a refund of the proportionate part of the capitalised Crown rent would apply equally to the payments for forming and resuming in the event of relinquishment within 25 years.

As the proposed payments for forming and resuming were not mentioned in the original offer from the Governor which the Treasury conditionally agreed we might accept, we should have to obtain the further sanction of that Department for the increased payments.

7 Could you also let me know whether the $ 37892

for the Mess site is to be substituted for the earlier figure

of $ 36625 plus $ 4400 for the site of the access road.

8 Subject to your comments on the above the only

point of difficulty remaining is that relating to marine rights, in regard to which we shall probably find it necessary to press for unrestricted sea access.

9 This, however, can probably be settled locally without much difficulty in conjunction with the proposed extension of the aerodrome, the protection of its approaches and the question of a site for a W/T station.
